Thanksgiving is over, but what about flappy “wings” and turkey “necks”

Often considered one of the most graceful parts of body, the neck is, unfortunately, also one of the first and most visible areas to age. Fragile neck skin is quick to reveal signs of sun damage, including lines and wrinkles, along with excess fat and sagging skin.
Here are some of the solutions available to you at Ethos Wellness Center if you are worried about developing a “turkey neck”.

Neocutis Skin Care
We are a proud authorized distributor of Neocutis line of products developed based on extensive research into wound healing technologies. Neck & Décolleté Rejuvenation MICRO-FIRM Complex is the best cream on the market, precisely formulated for the delicate skin on the neck and decollete. This intensive complex is supercharged with cell building proteins and packed with antioxidants and moisturizers as well as exfoliating properties to encourage cell turnover for a softer and more luminous appearance.

Threads Lift
Special threads are carefully inserted under your skin to provide an immediate lift to skin on the face or neck. The threads stimulate the body’s natural healing response, triggering new collagen production for months of rejuvenating benefits. Best of all, there’s no risk of scarring because the threads are fully absorbed by the body within a few months.

Kybella Injectibles
This is the first and only FDA-approved injectable for reducing submental or chin fat. A series of injections with Kybella can reduce chin fat for long-term improvement to your chin profile.

CoolSculpting
If excess chin fat is your main concern, a few sessions with CoolSculpting can help reduce unwanted chin fat and improve your profile for years to come. CoolSculpting uses non-invasive cooling technology to freeze and disable your fat cells for gradual improvements.
There is another part of the body that can be targeted by freezing with CoolSculpting treatment. We are talking about that persistent jiggle of flab under your arms you’ve learned to accept as an inevitable consequence of aging. For all of you who want to get rid of unpleasant “wings” CoolSculpting offers CoolAdvantage Petite™ applicator that can treat the upper arms and chin with greater ease, efficiency, and effectiveness than ever before. We are thrilled to expand our CoolSculpting solutions, so we can provide the very best treatment and optimal results on your chin and arms.

Fall: The Best Time to Start Laser Hair Removal…Here’s Why

As the warm weather begins to return in the spring, people begin thinking about the beach and using their swimwear. Many will be considering laser hair removal as an easy way to get rid of unwanted hair before it’s time for the big reveal.

But spring isn’t the time they should be doing that. Fall is the best time to get to work on unwanted hair, and here’s why.

Ideal Timing.

The cool weather of the fall and winter present ideal conditions for laser hair removal. For one thing, you’re all covered up, so there’s very little opportunity for the sun to interfere with the treatment. Laser hair removal requires that you stay out of the sun, so fall is the perfect time to get started.

Also, the time for that swimsuit is still a long way off. It’s tucked away in a drawer somewhere for the cool seasons. That means you have plenty of time to receive the full effect of laser hair removal treatments. Ideal!

Fall and winter clothes are your friends.

Because you’re all covered up, the temporary hair re-growth which occurs during the laser hair removal process isn’t a problem. No one – save your nearest and dearest – is going to have the slightest suspicion that that patchy re-growth is hidden under your snuggly cool-weather clothes.

Perfect timing.

Starting laser hair removal in the Fall epitomizes perfect timing. If you’ve had this treatment before, Fall and Winter are still the best time for touch-ups – all the reasons stated above still apply.

The gift of time also applies if you are considering additional areas for laser hair removal treatment, to keep yourself silky smooth all over.

While it’s a long-term solution with lasting results, laser hair removal sometimes requires touch-ups. Having it done in the Fall is excellent timing to be ready for the moment when summer dresses, shorts, and swimsuits come out of the closet for the season of fun in the sun.

Laser hair removal, done right.

It’s clear why fall is the best time to start laser hair removal. There are so many advantages to thinking ahead.  As soon as the warm weather is back, you’ll be confident knowing you are well ahead of the curve, while others will be panicking – wondering if they’ve missed the boat.

At Ethos Wellness Center, our professionally trained technicians offer the most advanced laser hair removal technology available. They consult with you to jointly determine the scope and duration of your treatment program, and they help you select the right type of laser hair removal technology that is the best fit for you.

Hyaluronic Acid Fillers

Hyaluronic Acid may be a good choice as a dermal filler if you’re looking to reduce lines and wrinkles for your face.

The hyaluronic acid injections are gel based, and can last from 3 months to up to 2 years, depending on the filler type, and amount used.

One benefit many patients prefer is that hyaluronic acids are already in the human body. in fact, they exist in most living things! In humans, their primary purpose is to transfer nutrients from the bloodstream to the skin cells.

High concentrations are naturally found in soft tissues and in the fluid surrounding your eyes. It’s also in some cartilage and joint fluids, as well as skin tissue. For cosmetic purposes, it supports facial structures and tissues, adding volume and elasticity.that is normally lost during the natural course of aging. It also attracts water to the surface of skin to keep it looking fresh and supple.

While there are many cosmetic benefits, the same substance If the term sounds familiar, it’s because the same substance is often injected into the aching joints of people with arthritis to ease pain and provide extra cushioning. When the gels are injected they act like an inflated cushion.

Brand names include Captique, Esthélis, Elevess, Hylaform, Juvéderm, Perlane, Prevelle, Puragen and Restylane.

Injectable forms of hylauronic acid are not derived from animal sources. In the last few decades, synthetic forms of have been developed and used to correct disorders in the fields of rheumatology, ophthalmology, and wound repair. More recently, synthetic forms of hyaluronic acid are being manufactured for use in face augmentation.

Cost per filler ranges from $575 to $1000.

Calcium Hydroxylapatite

Calcium hydroxylapatite is the heaviest of facial dermal fillers. Radiesse is a common brand name for this injectable filler, but it is also naturally found in human bones and is a mineral-like compound.
Cosmetic Uses:

  • Nasolabial folds, marionette lines and frown lines
  • Enhance fullness of the cheeks and other facial contours.

Cosmetic hydroxylapatite is biosynthetically produced, which means that no animals or animal products are used. This lowers risk of allergic reaction and no skin testing is required.

Results from this type of dermal filler produce very natural appearance, the filer will not migrate, and other side effects are rare.

Additionally, Calcium hydroxylapatite can be used to treat HIV-positive people who suffer from facial lipoatrophy, also known as facial wasting, which is a side effect of antiretroviral medications.
